Virus
Root Effect • Passive • Infection
This is the scary Plaguemonger effect. The one which the To-Na-Onum spend their lives combating.
Passive Infection
Whenever you bite or scratch or somehow share bodily fluids with a biological character or unit who shares your species they become infected. This may affect more species than just yours, at the discretion of your Story Guide. The incubation for this infection is fast. Any dead who are infected reanimate during the first re:Cycle
You are not immune to your own infection, if you die, you turn into an Infected Mindless Onum.
This effect does not kill the infected, when they die, if their head is intact, they turn into a Infected Onum (Pack). These Infected Onum (Pack) treat you as their Leader.
Yes, in most cases you may choose to infect your party members, we do not suggest hiding this in any way, and this effect should be voluntary for party members. When consent is established, the Genus restriction is lifted to infect that party member.
When an Infected Onum is reduced to 0 Hit Points, they are destroyed become non-contagious and can not be further reanimated by Virus.
If an Infected Mindless Onum is reduced to 0 Hit Points, all their Infected Onum are also reduced to 0 Hit Points.
Onum who are reduced to 0 Hit Points become a corpse.
Infected Onum who are animated may still qualify as a corpse and revived or reanimated by other effects provided all other conditions are met.
Infected Onum (Pack)
These Onum will mindlessly follow the Leader of the pack, trying to stay within 10 Tiles. They are passive unless given the command to Be Aggressive or given the command to Wait.

Player Characters who become Infected Onum use their Level to determine Infectious Feeding Damage.

When under the Be Aggressive command, Infected Onum will activate Rave
Infectious Feasting
The first time any creature moves within 10 Tiles of an Infected Onum during each Full Round, the Infected Onum spends their 1 Action Point immediately.
They move to the creature and Feast. The Target is considered Latched. A 1 Action Slot or 1 Action Point Clash Ends Latch from Infectious Feasting on a check of 3 or higher.

Story Guide’s Notes
Pack size restrictions when it comes to this effect should be in the neighborhood of three to five. Killing them off in Combat Engagements is a good way to work with this without putting a hard limit.
