Murmurs
Probably even as a child the voices of others seeped into your mind without you hearing a word. You’ve been called sensitive to body language, and know the people around you so well. You’re so observant. The truth is developed sensitivity to the brainwaves put off by others.
Passive Language
As quiet murmurs, you hear the most surface thoughts of others who you are focused on, generally as a sense of their emotion. This effect generally has a range no farther than 15 Tiles, but exceptions may be made with extreme events.
If they are thinking in a heightened emotional state such as panic or in deep concentration, you may catch a few intelligible words or an understanding of the conceptual structure of their thought process.
Note: Murmurs is not active mind reading. It can not be used to detect creatures the character can not sense. It is passive, but as a player you may need to request Murmurs activation. “Do I sense any thoughts or feelings?”
