With few exceptions, the Tank Plate makes any damage from an average source near worthless. With the exception of Barch and Megredan, most species can’t even wear this until their Strength is high enough to get their Every Day Carry sufficient to equip it. The Tank Plate is designed to stop pretty much anything the average attack can do.
