Cost

There are three forms of currency in the game. Credits, Stamps, and Notes.

Characters begin the game with c3,000 to spend. Once they have spent it on Itemization and their Domicile, apply a Variable Check (v:100), the result of which is the percentage of remaining Credits or Common Stamps total. With a particularly low result, or if you spend every dime, it may be a good idea to start adventuring or go back to work.

Item Prices are always displayed as Credit or Common Stamp Cost. Noted by the c in front of the value. Cost: c10,000 for instance.

Credits

Moln Infrastructure is the big bank. It is impossible to hack or fudge. The CRM CARD (Coach, Reigner, and Moln Card) is protected by technology, mysticisms, and psyche powers. The basic card is what you would expect it to be. A Credit Card. Credits are a zero-decimal currency. It is fully acceptable in Molthern, Amcel, and Amcor. Other items may serve as a CRM CARD. It’s all tap to pay.

Royal Stamps and Common Stamps stored in Moln Infrastructure are automatically converted to Credits. Making a Stamp withdrawal, also known as a Conversion, may happen in any of the Timescales. The peoples of earlier Timescales may overhear talk about credits, but they assume this talk is in reference to Common Stamps.

Stamps

Stamps are small metallic coins.

There are two Stamp Currency values;

The Common Stamp is worth 1 Credit.

There are a variety of Common Stamps, every city and town, every country has their own print on stamps. Even with the variety, stamps are generally welcome everywhere, and because of this, every time you get some, you’ll rarely get identical coins. Since forging common stamps costs more than their value even using the cheapest materials to do so, very few counterfeiting operations exist. There are some specific examples of coin collectors paying way more than a stamp is worth, but they are exceptionally rare. You can even mint your own Common Stamp, if you want to. Though people may look at you strangely if your face is on the coin.

The Royal Stamp which is extremely rare.

Royal Stamps are made with a special mystical process which only The Coin Collector is able to do. It is not known how these stamps enter circulation, but most everyone has seen at least one or two in their lifetime. Though many have never even held one. There are quite a few counterfeiting operations which have tried to emulate them, but the mystical inheritance of the Royal Stamp makes all imitations turn to ash and dust when they are made. Lying about a coin sized object being a Royal Stamp and attempting to give it as a gift, make a purchase, or trade will destroy the coin. All true Royal Stamps look exactly the same, but how they all look is unique to the viewer.

A Royal Stamp is worth 100,000 Common Stamps or Credits at any of the conversion sites.

You may withdrawal a Royal Stamp with 100,000 Common Stamps or Credits in your account.

The value of a Royal Stamp is usually more of a statement when it comes to trade.

Notes

Notes are a Debt Agreement. Used mostly in Mediva and Renisans where it is usually unsafe to travel with even one or two Royal Stamps or large amounts of Common Stamps. Moln Notes which are backed when written put the amount into a bond for withdrawal by the receiving party. When you have insufficient funds, the Moln Note will need an additional agreement about payment intervals, collateral, and other loan type things. We suggest only using these things to spend large amounts of stored Currency. A loan shark story isn’t always fun.

Notes have the same level of mysticism, psyche, and technological backing as the CRM CARDS.

The Developer

If you stumbled here by accident, that’s all gravy. We use these pages in our archives as templates, style guides, reference content, and reusable assets. I’m also getting to write the FAQ, which is fun.
