Niym
Species Selection • Hominidae • Homogeneous • Origin • Niym
Common Name: Gnome
Tinkering may very well be the catalyst for invention. Niym are inherently brilliant when it comes to small and micro crafts. They see deeply into the small of the universe, and their natural inclination to creativity has seen technological innovation throughout the Overzones. While they’re often thought of as lost to the world in their tinkering, they are massively aware of their surroundings.
Social Structures & Culture
Niym are typically anti-social. They sometimes mingle with Barch and Adaht because of the love of being creative. Hanging around a bunch of cooks and smiths is preferrable because they have a shared understanding and passion for what they all can make with their hands. Though, they may also make quick friends with anyone who has a passion for creativity.
While Niym and Barch are genetically identical, there is a deep rooted difference in their passions for creation. It is often said most of technological advancement came from the families of Barch who’s blacksmiths could afford to put the colleges on their shoulders. Niym and Barch families are shared, and while most people can tell them apart, the only difference is usually in the muscles.
