Love
Oh. I see you there. All filled with butterflies. That’s not love. You may want to call it that, because love and hearts and so many use it that way. Maybe it is the beginning of love? I don’t know. What I do know, is when you spend your Potential on this effect, you’re literally doomed. Nah, that’s awful. I like to think of love as the stories we share. This effect is all about sharing by the way.
This effect may be unlocked multiple times with a new target. Dismissing this effect with rescission leaves a Hole in your Heart and a Heart Scar. You are not refunded the Potential from Love.
Each time you unlock this effect, you gain a new Breaking Heart “For Target’s Name” Injury Card with 1 Hard Damage on it.
Passive Connection
Range: 50 Tiles
Any time one of your Loved Ones takes damage within 50 Tiles of you, you may gift your Loved One with your Good Health.
For every point of Good Health you Gift them, you take 1 damage, and they remove 1 damage. You can give them every. last. drop. of your life, but no more than the amount of damage they took.
If you give enough Good Health, you may fully remove the Injury Card from the damage they took, including the Hard Damage.
All damage taken by this effect is applied to your Breaking Heart “For Target’s Name” Injury Card. This Injury Card is all Hard Damage, and you can never remove the last point of Hard Damage.
Range: Anywhere,
You can sense when a Loved One takes damage, no matter the distance. You might also get an odd sense of fear occasionally, when they are in danger.
Heart Scar
When you lose your Loved One, either by recission or their death, your Breaking Heart Injury Card becomes a Heart Scar. A Heart Scar is permanent and includes the 1 Hard Damage which can never heal.
Hole in your Heart
There is only one way to fill the Hole in your Heart, and that is with a new Loved One. After all damage associated with a Breaking Heart Injury Card is healed, aside from the Heart Scar, you may apply the Potential to a new Loved One.
Story Guide’s Notes: Branch Effects, Stem Effects, and Crown Effects tied to a Loved One may undergo Rescission as normal without penalties.

Sharing in burdens. When two characters unlock Love and choose each other as Loved Ones it is very sweet. This love may be defined in any vein of love. Romantic, plutonic, familial. This effect tree is common among many supporting characters throughout the campaign setting.
