Where as most of the Grand Design Officers are stationary, usually remaining in a Domicile, Intel Officers are out in the field collecting information. They are often able to be found near you as they don’t stray too far unless they are assigned to collect information elsewhere. They also are granted a Method of Contact. Meaning they may reach you, even mystically, from anywhere except the Dreamscape.
Grand Design Routine: These Routines may always be activated during any time you gain Routine Paths, your faction does not cease operating even if you are out of touch.
Grand Design Routine: 1 Routine Path
You assign your Intel to investigate or research a specific topic, event, or item. This counts as 5 Hours of Research or Investigation time. If this bonus is sufficient for you to succeed an Info Check, your Intel Officer may immediately relate the information to you.
This bonus may be applied to yours or another party member’s Info Check, if they are within 100 Tiles of you when you perform this Routine Path.
The Cabal Intel: Usually aloft and distant. A Cabal Intel Officer is particularly good at uncovering events. They gain a +3 hour bonus to information regarding specific events. They’re not particularly good at any other kind of Investigation or Research, and take a -1 Penalty to other types of Intel.
The Charity Intel: Charity Intel Officers are good at finding any kind of information you are looking for and gain a +1 Hour bonus to any type of Intel when regarding the pursuit of the Charity. Though they may find some things strange, and also outright refuse to investigate or research certain topics; Murder Scenes, Scouting for Combat, etc.
The Militant Intel: The Militant Intel Officer is exceptional good with scouting information. In regard to investigations about understanding an adversary, a Militant Intel Officer gains a +1 hour bonus to information regarding strengths and weaknesses. Militant Intel Officers will take any Intel Request and not question it, leaving person interests aside.
The Union Intel: Knowing Faction and Corporate information is well in the bounds of the Union Intel Officer. Any information relating to Factions or Corporations they gain a +5 hour bonus to this kind of information. They’ll usually refuse all topics outside of Faction or Corporate Intel.
The Radical Intel: These guys are information brokers, they’re your information broker. Radical Intel Officers will not refuse any kind of Intel Request. They have a -1 Hour penalty to any request, but they’ll take any request.
